These Terms of Service govern the use of the Tubsy website (tubsy.app) and mobile applications (collectively: "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Tubsy.
Tubsy is operated by Isabella Di Ponio-Voit as an individual entrepreneur. Our full contact and legal details are available in our Legal Notice.
Tubsy is a parental control service for YouTube content. It allows parents to approve specific YouTube channels, playlists, and videos. Child profiles created within the account can then only access the approved content. Tubsy does not create, host, or distribute any video content.
To use Tubsy, you must create a parent account using an email address or a linked Google, Apple, or Amazon account. You must be at least 18 years of age to register. By registering, you confirm that you are of legal age and that all information provided is accurate and up to date.
Tubsy is available in a free tier and a paid subscription ("Tubsy Carefree"). Paid subscriptions are purchased exclusively through the Google Play Store or the Amazon Appstore. Tubsy itself does not process any payments. All payment terms, billing cycles, price changes, and refund policies are governed exclusively by the respective app store's Terms of Service.
Google Play: When you delete your Tubsy account, we will attempt to cancel your Google Play subscription automatically. If this fails for technical reasons, you must cancel it manually via the Google Play Store. Amazon Appstore: Tubsy has no technical means to cancel Amazon subscriptions on your behalf. If you delete your Tubsy account, your Amazon subscription will continue to run. You must cancel it manually through the Amazon Appstore. Apple App Store: Apple billing support is not yet available. This section will be updated accordingly.
The Service is for personal, private, non-commercial use only. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit Tubsy or any part of it.
You agree not to use Tubsy to approve or enable access to content that is illegal, violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful. You must not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access control features of the Service. Automated access via bots, scrapers, or similar tools is not permitted.
Tubsy enables access to content hosted on YouTube, which is operated by Google LLC. All YouTube content is subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Tubsy does not review, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content of individual videos, channels, or playlists. Parents are solely responsible for the content they approve for their child profiles. Tubsy is not liable for any YouTube content accessed through the Service.
By creating an account or using the Service to access YouTube content, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Tubsy does not display its own advertising on the website or in the apps. YouTube videos played through the Service may contain advertising shown by YouTube and Google. Tubsy has no influence over YouTube's advertising systems and receives no revenue from it.
We make every effort to keep Tubsy running reliably. However, Tubsy is operated by a small team and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, deploy updates, and modify or discontinue features at any time. We accept no liability for outages, data loss, or service interruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tubsy and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. We are not liable for the content of videos, channels, or playlists accessed through Tubsy, including content you approved as a parent. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice and without refund. You may delete your account at any time from the app or website settings.
Your use of Tubsy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect and process your personal data.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is the registered location of the operator.
